Treasure Island is a proposed living city on the Gulf Coast of Pinellas county, just west of St. Pete. The proposed project would create a green. breathable, walkable, and economically vibrant community. It is an historic interpretation of main street that satisfies the need of the pedestrian, while allowing the city to function through all phases of transportation. It would provide twice the amount of green space that currently exists and a fourfold increase in parking and service areas. A promenade has been developed that is anchored on one end by an amphitheater and on the other by a park providing a living room that opens up to the waterfront for public use.
